Recupero immagini impresse su vecchie pellicole in Super8. Cerco gli elementi fondanti di un attimo passato. Ricostruendo, agisco in sottrazione, elimino il superfluo. Osservo molte vite in questa mia ricerca e trovo un filo conduttore che accomuna gli esseri umani che vivono l’esperienza di incarnazione, ovvero l’essere costantemente immersi in una doppia dimensione: Quella Celeste e quella Terrestre. Terrestre è tutto ciò che è legato alla materia, al corpo, al peso, alle misure. Celeste è invece ciò che di immateriale viene . Celeste è come il cielo, che possiamo vedere, ma non toccare, Celeste è il sentimento che ci alberga, la sensazione che accompagna il nostro andare, Celeste è la memoria, fatta di immagini che vivono in un eterno presente, perché presenti in noi. La serie di immagini che compone il progetto Celeste Terrestre vuole esprimere questo nostro vivere costantemente in questa doppia dimensione, riportando l’essenza di un momento passato, nel presente.

Does DNA of memory exist? I retrieve images impressed on old Super8 films. I search the founding elements of a moment in the past. While reconstructing, I act by subtracting, eliminating what’s unnecessary. Carrying out this quest of mine, I observe many lives and find a common thread that connects human beings that live the experience of incarnation, which is being constantly permeated by a double dimension: the Celestial and the Terrestrial. All that is linked to matter, body, weight, and size is Terrestrial. All the immaterial essence that comes to interpenetrate us is Celestial. Celestial as the sky, that we can see but we can’t touch. Celestial is the feeling harbouring us, the perception going along with us. Celestial is the very awareness of existing within structures. Celestial is the memory, made of images that live in an ethernal present, because they are present in us. The series of photographies composing the project Celestial/Terrestrial expresses this life we lead in a double dimension, searching the essence of a past moment, within present. The prints are on cotton paper to enhance the pictorial aspect, among a dreamlike, at times metaphysical atmosphere.
